Our Team
We are a team of honest, hard-working men and women who have developed deep expertise in the commercial construction industry over many years. We have a genuine interest in getting your project done right, on time and with as little disruption to your business as possible. Having a long history working together, our team has developed processes that minimize your downtime.
Our team includes highly experienced construction specialists including project managers, estimators, designers, superintendents, carpenters, and carpenter helpers, as well as support staff.
Meet Our Leadership Team
Chris Keller
Owner
Although Chris is the owner of Keller Contracting, you will still see him on job sites giving personal attention to the project and the team working on it. Over the last several years, Chris has turned his vision of a trustworthy and client-focused commercial contracting firm to a reality that has earned them Central Penn Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies designation for the past three years.
Experience in Construction: 30 years

Penn State University, B.S. in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology

On a personal note:
Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, skiing, taking beach vacations, and hunting.
He enjoys supporting the growth and development of our local communities, especially in redevelopment projects. He also has a passion for assisting local, non-profit organizations.
Tim Wirt
Director of Operations
Tim oversees all the field operations for superintendents and field crews. He plans and schedules projects and develops bids for smaller projects. Tim also manages our service department.
Experience in Construction: 25 years
Education:
Pennsylvania College of Technology, Certificate in Construction Carpentry and Certificate in Cabinetmaking & Millwork, 1997
On a personal note:
Tim really likes to spend time with family and friends. He has a passion for the outdoors, and you can often find him hunting, fishing and snowmobiling in and around Penn’s Woods.
Shonna Goodling
Project Administrator
Shonna provides administrative support for preconstruction, operations and accounts receivable and accounts payable. She is responsible for the office management including office procedures, supplies, equipment, and events.
EXPERIENCE: 18 years
ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
Shonna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching sports, reading, and sitting on the beach. She resides in York with her husband and has two sons and a daughter-in-law.
John Hersey
Controller
John handles in-house payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. He is manager of all employee benefit services, insurances, and compliance, as well as on boarding new employees.
Education: US Air Force & PA Air National Guard
On a personal note:
John enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering time coaching youth athletics. When not volunteering, he might be found working on his West Virginia cabin.
John Kottmyer, LEED AP
Vice President of Preconstruction
Having vast knowledge in all aspects of commercial construction, John oversees the estimating team and performs preconstruction services.

Pennsylvania College of Technology – Bachelor of Science – Building Construction Management

John enjoys spending time with his family and friends, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and golf.
Tony Vasura
VP of Estimating
Tony uses his wealth of estimating and project management expertise to help define and clarify the scopes of our client’s projects, conduct preconstruction planning, and develop cost estimates. He also prepares preliminary budgets, cost plans and value engineering opportunities.

Pennsylvania College of Technology, Degree in Construction Management, 2011
On a personal note:
Tony has a passion for biking – both motocross and mountain biking. He also enjoys hunting and the outdoors. He and his wife Tracy have a daughter, Madison.
Mike Schoffstall
Estimator
Taking a deep dive into each project being estimated, Mike develops detailed scopes to allow analysis of subcontractor pricing. He provides bids for both Plan and Spec projects as well as Design-Build projects.

Penn State University for Architectural Engineering, OSHA Certified
On a personal note:
Mike enjoys camping with family and friends, long rides on his Harley, playing the drums with other talented musicians, woodworking, and cooking.
Jeff Stager
Senior Project Manager
After working his way up the ranks of the commercial construction industry from laborer, to carpenter, to superintendent, Jeff now serves as Senior Project Manager. He manages projects of all sizes and complexity, applying his great knowledge of constructability.

US Army Veteran, Architectural Engineering and Solar Engineering Technology Degrees from PSU, OSHA 30 Certification, Fall Protection Certification, PROCORE Project Manager Certification
On a personal note:
Jeff spends his personal time hunting, fishing, and working on classic cars and motorcycles. He also enjoys collecting, restoring, and shooting firearms.
Tim Lerew
Senior Project Manager
Tim brings a background in design/drafting and project management to Keller Contracting where he manages commercial construction for a variety of project scopes and types.

Dan Redding
Senior Project Manager
Having vast knowledge in all aspects of commercial construction, Dan performs preconstruction services, estimating, project management and service work.

United States Navy
On a personal note:
Dan is a family man with three grown children and 10 grandchildren. He and his wife enjoy camping, going to Penn State football games and vacationing in Negril, Jamaica.
Scott Bruce
Designer/ Project Manager
Scott provides drawing designs and building code analysis for our Design-Build projects. He has a knack for creating layouts that work perfectly for our customers’ programs and locations. He helps conduct MEP design coordination, building permit processing and project management and estimating of our smaller projects.

Thompson Institute, Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design
On a personal note:
Scott spends his free time on computer gaming, reading graphic novels (comics), woodworking and fishing.
Shane Tawney
General Superintendent
Shane is responsible for all field personnel including the daily placement of manpower on our project sites. He is our safety and quality assurance manager, who regularly visits job locations offering an additional level of oversight.

York County Vocational-Technical School, OSHA 30 Certified
On a personal note:
Shane enjoys spending time in the outdoors and with family and is often found using his skillset on home projects.
